Afterword
The Bottomline . . . On Balance
We need to make sure our kids are cybersmart and cybersafe. We, as parents, don't need to be worried about cybermonsters hiding under our virtual beds or the boogiemen online anymore. You now know what the risks are, and how to limit them. It's a learning curve for all of us. But, hopefully, a fun and rewarding one.
I hope that this book will inspire you. (I demand a lot of my readers . . . being inspired is only the beginning . . . hopefully, you'll name your children after me and send me home baked cookies . . .) Surfing the Web together is one of the best ways to enjoy yourselves as a family, and learn something at the same time.
This book is only a map. Hopefully, by the time you've been online for awhile you won't need it anymore. I suspect before long . . . you'll be teaching me!
